Late Enough, EP#2. lol

Hi there, how are you all doing?

Sometime ago I talked about a series of EPs I was intending to assemble to help me getting a bigger project going. Now I want to present the second iteration in the enterprise, featuring an instrumental mix with a London train field recording by Mark Durham and an original song–don’t pay attention to the rushed bass, it was recorded in between classes within the few time lapse windows I have. :P

Hope you like it!

Hi there, how are you all doing?

Some time ago (when I uploaded one of my game music EPs) I mentioned an older one that was lacking… Fine, now it comes the time to fill the gap! :)

“Night Dream” is a pair of completely diverse (as always) themes, one based upon the character Little Nemo (from a series of newspapers comic strips spanning from 1905 to 1914) and his NES game; and the other, more “suspicious”, taking advantage of the awesome Isaac Hayes soundtrack for Shaft (the blaxploitation 70s movie) and another obscure NES game, Nighshade: The Claws of Sutekh.

I hope you enjoy this one, have a nice week!

Sleep well... Bang! lol

New EPs, Old Project. lol

Hi there, how are you all doing?

Some time ago I mentioned a “British” songs project that evolved into an “overseas” project which I never have the time to really finish… lol But here is another effort on that matter.

Since I’ve been mixing instrumental themes to field recordings from Soundclouders I decided to come up with a series of 3 EPs showing at least part of the job done so far. Each set contains a song, an instrumental mix (those with the field recordings) and a couple sketches of the songs while being composed.

#1 is up, I hope you enjoy it–and look forward for the next ones. :)

See ya!

Brand New EP! (Skipped One, But Still… :P)

Hi there, how are you doing?

Last week I got a request on a new soundtrack job… And it couldn’t be more pleasant to do. It was a media campaign on traffic safety issues… But it was meant to be like a retro game! Like, “you don’t have lives to spare on real life” or something like that.

The video is yet to be ready but here you can take a listen to the tracks I’ve made for it. I’ve drawn my inspiration basically from the visuals of Excitebike (NES) to write a couple themes–one for a “start”, one main theme (that can be looped indefinitely), another loop for a “finish” and a “death” theme. lol

Despite being an apparently breeze-pace of a job it was a somewhat tough nut to crack since I had to build my own “NES 8-bit staccato” SoundFont library before even starting to work… Fun, but still effortful.

Here we go with the tracks (the EP is called “RetroBike”), I hope you enjoy it as much as I did while making it. :)

Have an awesome week, see ya!

Here I am a little delayed again–but this game called life can get tricky sometimes… Althought fun as well. :)

Came to upload my second “virtual-EP” on game music to follow the opening post for this blog. This one is from 2009, I was starting to study a little bit of Piano and a bunch of new themes came out at the time… I’ve picked two for this one.

A cookie for anyone knowing the reference for the cover. ;)

Hi there folks! Just setting things up, my intention here is to share some soundtrack works from me as some eventual articles and other related stuff every Monday–stay tuned!

Starting with my first “virtual EP” from 2008, a tribute to Kinuyo Yamashita (AKA “James Banana”, who did the original Castlevania’s soundtrack) and Miles Davis–if he could play Harvest Moon. :P
